Dear Husband,
I have come to meet you finally… through the Holy Spirit, of course, lol. There is still a tiny bit of dim hope that we will be united in the flesh, but meeting in and through the Holy Spirit will suffice.
It took me months to know how to start this letter because my faith was too small to believe I would get to meet you in person. I am allowing God to work on that part of myself. It is a process.
However, I can “know” through Holy Spirit. He told me about your character, the things you have been through, and even how much you already love me. Your kindness, warmth, compassion, and strength are what God had me draw near to Him and you.
You are exceptional and one of a kind. You will do great things, even if you don’t believe them now. I know that through your love of Christ, He will assist you in transforming your heart and renewing your mind. It is all about your surrender to Him.
And as you work building these things up, I am obeying instructions from our Father to work on me too. I recently found more insecurities that I did not know how to address. God is pruning me, which hurts, but I am grateful for the transition.
So, my dear, I leave with you Ephesians 3:2-5, “2 assuming, by the way, that you know God gave me the special responsibility of extending his grace to you Gentiles. 3 As I briefly wrote earlier, God himself revealed his mysterious plan to me. 4 As you read what I have written, you will understand my insight into this plan regarding Christ. 5 God did not reveal it to previous generations, but now by his Spirit he has revealed it to his holy apostles and prophets” (BibleGateway.com).
God’s mysterious plan is at work and working for His Glory. We are anxious to be in each other’s warm embrace, but let us continue to adhere to His plan. It may look a little weird and sketchy sometimes (lol), but we can trust Him. Look at all of what He has done for us thus far. Continue to obey and surrender, my love. We will be united in due season.
